Me

Jacques Cousteau said, “People protect what they love.” I love the ocean.

I’m an Environmental Science undergrad, and currently an intern at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute.

I am a SEA Semester alum. I’ve cruised my way through the Sargasso Sea and the Caribbean on the C-239 cruise track.

My goal for the future is to begin grad school in the fall of 2014 for climate sciences, oceanography or earth and environmental sciences.

The oceans take up 70% of the Earth, but we treat it as if it has no importance to our lives. Not only do we depend on it for survival, but it’s actually just an incredibly cool place to learn about. We really don’t know that much about what lies in the depths of the abyssal zone or out in the vast open ocean. There is much research to be done and always more questions to be asked.
